CANTERBURY Hospital now has a new weapon to defend hearts from attacks, thanks to the purchase of a ‘defibrillator’ after $15,000 was raised at an event at the Greek Community Club in Lakemba (pictured) at the end of last month.
Organisers Stephanie Giannis and Kathy Kouvas would like to thank all supporters, including Canterbury Hospital GM Ann Kelly, hospital staff Kiel Harvey, Hayley Sciuriaga and Helen Gialouris, as well as Canterbury Council Deputy Mayor Khodr Saleh.
“A special thank you to Angelo and the Greek Community Club for catering and venue assistance,” the organisers added.
“Thank you also to Catherine Giannis and Mr and Mrs Giannis for event assistance, Alana Baluk for decoration arrangement, corporate sponsors KAA Australia and The Dockside Group, photographers John Haldezos from A1 Photographic Designs and Chris Muscat, Giuseppe Leone and Carlos for sound assistance, Marina, Dimitra, Maree Butler and Musaic and Tim DJ/Bouzouki for the entertainment, Zafeira Parmaxidou and Nick Bonovas for their contributions, Peter and Vicky Kazacos from YOUR ANGEL Foundation, for their substantial contribution on the night, and to all the local businesses and everyone else that supported the event.”
