Fun and harmony

The Canterbury Harmony Group celebrated their hard work over the year at a Christmas function last month.

CELEBRATING their hard work over the year and launching their official event calendar for 2015, the Canterbury Harmony Group hosted a Christmas and end of year party last month at Canterbury City Council function room.

The group also made arrangements for the Chinese New Year, the Interfaith Ramadan Dinner and the upcoming Harmony Day in Canterbury to be held on March 18.

The reception was attended by the Federal MP for Watson, Tony Burke, the State MP for Lakemba, Robert Furolo, Canterbury Mayor Brian Robson, local principals and various sponsor organisations along with the committees of many different cultural groups.

Councillor Karl Saleh, the founder of the Harmony Group, welcomed the preparations for 2015 and said that the Canterbury Harmony Group established since 2007, had rolled up its sleeves again for 2015 and promises to be another successful year filled with activities and events.
